Subdivision 1.Commissioner may sell lands. The commissioner of natural resources may sell any unreserved state public land which in the commissioner's opinion is suitable for private forest management. Subd. 2.Conditions of sale. Sales under this section must be public in the same manner as other state land, after approval by the Executive Council. Land sold under this section must be used exclusively for growing continuous forest crops in accordance with accepted sustained yield practice. Not more than 1,280 acres of land may be offered in one parcel. The sale must be for cash.
