Subdivision 1.Application. The definitions in this section apply to sections61B.18to61B.32. Subd. 2.Account. "Account" means either of the two accounts created under section61B.21, subdivision 1. Subd. 3.Annuity contracts. "Annuity contracts" means annuity contracts as described in section60A.06, subdivision 1, clause (4). Subd. 4.Association. "Association" means the Minnesota Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Association. Subd. 5.Commissioner. "Commissioner" means the commissioner of commerce. Subd. 6.Contractual obligation. "Contractual obligation" means an obligation under a policy or contract or certificate under a group policy or contract, or portion of the policy or contract or certificate, for which coverage is provided under section61B.19, subdivision 2.
