Text

(a)The commissioner shall have power to issue subpoenas to compel the attendance of witnesses and the production of documents, papers, books, records and other evidence before the commissioner in any matter over which the commissioner has jurisdiction, control or supervision pertaining to sections53C.01to53C.14. The commissioner shall have the power to administer oaths and affirmations to any person whose testimony is required.
(b)If any person shall refuse to obey any such subpoena, or to give testimony, or to produce evidence as required thereby, any judge of any district court may, upon application and proof of such refusal, make an order for the issuance of a subpoena, or subpoena duces tecum, for the witness to appear before the commissioner and to give testimony, and to produce evi
