If any provision, clause, or phrase of sections51A.01to51A.58or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of sections51A.01to51A.58which can be given effect without the invalid provisions or application, and to this end the provisions of sections51A.01to51A.58are declared to be separable.
