Subdivision 1.Interceptors and treatment works. The board may, to the extent it deems proper and reasonable to implement its comprehensive plan, acquire, construct, better, equip, operate and maintain any or all interceptors and treatment works for the district, subject to the provisions of sections458D.01to458D.24. A treatment works owned by a local government unit may be acquired or operated by the board to implement the comprehensive plan if any part of the treatment works is needed for such purpose.
