Subdivision 1. [Repealed,2004 c 269 art 1 s 12] Subd. 2. [Repealed,2004 c 269 art 1 s 12] Subd. 2a. MS 2024 [Repealed,2025 c 35 art 3 s 25] Subd. 2b.Duties. The commissioner of commerce may:

(1)review notices and reports submitted by authorized insurers, their employees, and agents or producers regarding insurance fraud, as defined in section60A.951, subdivision 4;
(2)initiate inquiries and conduct investigations under section45.027when the commissioner has reason to believe that insurance fraud, as defined in section60A.951, subdivision 4, has been or is being committed; and
(3)share active investigative data pursuant to section13.39concerning insurance fraud with the commissioner of public safety and the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. Subd. 2c. MS 2024 [Repealed,2025 c 35 art 3
