Text

When any city of the first class in this state, shall cause to be condemned any land for public parks or parkway purposes, it shall thereupon cause to be paid to the owner of this property the amount of damages, over and above all benefits, which may have been awarded therefor, within one year after confirmation of the award or assessment, or the final determination of any appeals therefor, with interest at the rate of five percent per annum, but nothing in sections448.23to448.25shall take away any existing right to annul and abandon the proceedings.
