Subdivision 1.Establishment. Notwithstanding any provision of Minnesota Statutes to the contrary, any city, county, town, or nonprofit corporation approved by the commissioner of human services, or any combination of them may establish and operate a community residential facility for persons with developmental disabilities or related conditions, as defined in section256B.02, subdivision 11. Subd. 2.Administration. Community residential facilities established under this section may be administered by a nonprofit corporation, by the political subdivision establishing them or by a community mental health center board organized under section245.66.
