Text

Subdivision 1.Duties. The governor of this state shall be responsible for the administration of the state's highway safety program and, consistent with state law, may contract and cooperate with, and act as agent for state and federal agencies, political subdivisions, and public and private organizations in order to effectuate the purposes of the National Highway Safety Act of 1966 and any amendments or regulations thereto to the end that available federal money and other benefits for such purposes may be obtained. The governor may designate an appropriate agency of this state through which this state's safety program may be administered. Subd. 2.Federal money.
