Subdivision 1.Generally.

(a)If a license holder is licensed as a residential program, stores or administers client medications, or observes clients self-administer medications, the license holder must ensure that a staff person who is a registered nurse or licensed prescriber is responsible for overseeing storage and administration of client medications and observing as a client self-administers medications, including training according to section245I.05, subdivision 6, and documenting the occurrence according to section245I.08, subdivision5.
(b)For purposes of this section, "observed self-administration" means the preparation and administration of a medication by a client to themselves under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or a staff member to whom a registered nurse deleg
