Subdivision 1.Misdemeanor. Any person who violates any provision of this chapter or section325F.20or325F.21, or any rule promulgated thereunder, or knowingly submits false information in any report required by this chapter or section325F.20or325F.21shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Each day of violation shall constitute a separate offense. Subd. 2.Equitable remedies. The provisions of this chapter and sections325F.20and325F.21, or any rules promulgated hereunder may be enforced by injunction, action to compel performance or other appropriate action in the district court of the county wherein the violation takes place. The attorney general shall bring any action under this subdivision upon the request of the commissioner, and the existence of an adequate remedy at law shall not be a defen
