Subdivision 1.Responsibility. The commissioner of management and budget shall supervise and report on state debt collection. Subd. 2.State agency reports. State agencies shall report quarterly to the commissioner of management and budget the debts owed to them. The commissioner of management and budget, in consultation with the commissioners of revenue and human services, and the attorney general, shall establish internal guidelines for the recognition, tracking, reporting, and collection of debts owed the state. The internal guidelines must include accounting standards, performance measurements, and uniform reporting requirements applicable to all state agencies.
