Text
Subdivision 1.Authority. The commissioner may place a person to act as a monitor in a nursing home or certified boarding care home in any of the circumstances listed in clause (1) or (2):
(1)in any situation for which a receiver may be appointed under section144A.15; or
(2)when the commissioner determines that violations of sections144.651,144A.01to144A.155,626.557, or section 1919(b), (c), or (d), of the Social Security Act, or rules or regulations adopted under those provisions, require extended surveillance to enforce compliance or protect the health, safety, or welfare of the residents.
