Subdivision 1.Survey and examination. When an order for a detailed survey is filed, the engineer shall proceed to survey the lines of the proposed drainage project in the preliminary hearing order, and survey and examine affected property. Subd. 2.Survey requirements. All drainage lines must be surveyed in 100-foot stations and elevations must be based on standard sea level datum, if practical. Benchmarks must be established on permanent objects along the drainage line, not more than one mile apart. Field notes made by the engineer must be entered in bound field books and preserved by the engineer until they are filed with the auditor.
