It is the policy of this state that inquiries related to the permitting of a data center are also referred to the Minnesota Business First Stop Program administered by the Department of Employment and Economic Development under section116J.035, subdivision 8. The executive director of the Board of Water and Soil Resources must take reasonable steps to ensure that agency permitting staff are aware of this policy and have the resources to efficiently refer those inquiries to Minnesota Business First Stop.
