FRENCH CANADIAN SOCIETY (EXCERPT) Act 159 of 1893 457.78 Insurance business. Sec.

8.Corporations in pursuance of this act shall not be considered as engaged in the business of life insurance nor shall they be subject to the provisions of the statutes relating to life insurance or mutual benefit corporations, companies or associations.
