CITY, VILLAGE, AND TOWNSHIP LIBRARIES (EXCERPT) Act 164 of 1877 397.208 City library; injury to property, ordinances, penalties. Sec.
8.The city council of said city shall have power to pass ordinances imposing suitable penalties for the punishment of persons committing injury upon such library, or the grounds or other property thereof, or for wilful injury to or failure to return any book belonging to such library.
