PROFESSIONAL INVESTIGATOR LICENSURE ACT (EXCERPT) Act 285 of 1965 338.838 Hiring of person convicted of certain felonies or misdemeanors prohibited; refusal to surrender license or identification card. Sec. 18.

(1)A licensee shall not knowingly employ any person who has been convicted of a felony, or convicted of a misdemeanor within the preceding 8 years involving any of the following:
(a)Dishonesty or fraud.
(b)Unauthorized divulging or selling of information or evidence.
(c)Impersonation of a law enforcement officer or employee of the United States, this state, or a political subdivision of this state.
(d)Illegally using, carrying, or possessing a dangerous weapon.
(e)Two or more alcohol related offenses.
(f)Controlled substances under the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333
