WEIGHTS AND MEASURES ACT (EXCERPT) Act 283 of 1964 290.624 Package labels; contents; allowable variations. Sec. 24.
(1)Except as otherwise provided in this act, any commodity in package form kept for the purpose of sale, or offered or exposed for sale, must bear on the outside of the package definite, plain, legible, and conspicuous declarations of all of the following:
(a)The identity of the commodity in the package, unless the commodity can easily be identified through the wrapper or container.
(b)Except as otherwise provided in this act, the net quantity of the contents in terms of weight, measure, or count. The term "when packed" or any words of similar import, or any term qualifying a unit of weight, measure, or count, such as "jumbo", "giant", "full", "approximate", and the like t
