§ 5 §20047 — Records
Maine·Title 5 ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES AND SERVICES·Part 25 SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER PREVENTION, TREATMENT AND RECOVERY
1.Registration and records.
Registration and other records of treatment facilities must remain confidential and are privileged to the patient.
2.Information for research.
Notwithstanding subsection 1, the commissioner may make available information from patients' records for purposes of research into the causes and treatment of substance use disorder. Information under this subsection may not be published in a way that discloses patients' names or other identifying information.
