Text
1.Association.
An optometrist may practice only in an individual capacity under the optometrist's own name or in association with a licensed practitioner of optometry or with a physician.
2.Prohibited mercantile employment.
A licensee may not practice optometry as a full or part-time employee of a mercantile establishment or directly or indirectly encourage one's optometric services to be promoted as part of a mercantile or commercial establishment. This prohibition includes the practice of optometry as a lessee of a commercial or mercantile establishment involved in the selling of spectacles, frames, mounting, lenses or other optical devices.
