1.Permit required.
Except as otherwise provided in this section and in section 1102‑D, a permit must be obtained from the board before an electrical installation may be performed.
2.Application for permit.
An application for a permit must be submitted by a licensed master electrician or limited electrician on a form provided by the board together with any plans, specifications or schedules the board may require prior to making the electrical installation. If the board determines that the description of the electrical installation planned is in compliance with all applicable statutes, ordinances and rules, and a fee required under subsection 4 has been paid, the board shall issue a permit.
