In pursuance of Article III of the compact there are 3 members, in this subchapter called "commissioners," of the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission, in this subchapter called "commission," from the State of Maine. The first commissioner from the State of Maine must be the Commissioner of Marine Resources of the State of Maine ex officio, and the term of any such ex officio commissioner must terminate at the time that commissioner ceases to hold the office of Commissioner of Marine Resources and that commissioner's successor as commissioner must be that commissioner's successor as Commissioner of Marine Resources.
