§ 4-1011

§4–1011. IN EFFECT // EFFECTIVE UNTIL JUNE 30, 2028 PER CHAPTER 364 OF 2021 //

(a)In this section, “local law enforcement agency” means:
(1)a police department of a county or municipal corporation in the State; or
(2)the office of the sheriff that provides a law enforcement function in a county or municipal corporation in the State.
(b)(1) For fiscal 2024, the Governor shall include in the annual budget bill an appropriation of $2,000,000 for local law enforcement agencies to be used as grants for warrant apprehension efforts.
(2)For fiscal years 2025 and 2026, the Governor shall include in the annual budget bill an appropriation of $1,000,000 for local law enforcement agencies to be used as grants to warrant apprehension
