The governor shall set apart May 22 as United States Merchant Marine Day in recognition of the establishment of the United States Merchant Marine on June 12, 1775, and shall annually issue a proclamation recommending that the day be observed in an appropriate manner by the people.Chapter 6: Section 15AAAAAAA.
