Section 124. Whoever wilfully and maliciously, or wantonly and without cause, tears down, removes or defaces a warrant for a town meeting, list of jurors or other notice or paper which has been posted in compliance with law shall, except as otherwise provided, be punished by a fine of not more than ten dollars.
