41.See 2024, 140, Sec. 264.]Section 28. No person shall be eligible for appointment to the following titles until he shall have completed the following period of service as a uniformed member of the state police: sergeant, five years; lieutenant, eight years; captain, twelve years; and major, fourteen years.
