§ 1 — Definitions

Section 1. As used in this chapter the following words shall have the following meanings, unless the context clearly requires otherwise:—''Actuarial opinion'', a signed written statement by a member of the American Academy of Actuaries based upon the person's examination, including a review of the appropriate records and of the actuarial assumptions and methods utilized by the carrier in establishing premium rates for applicable health benefit plans.''Adjusted average market premium price'', the arithmetic mean of all premium rates for a given prototype plan sold to eligible insureds with similar rate basis type by all carriers selling prototype plans in the commonwealth.''Affordable Care Act'', the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, Public Law 111–148, adopted March 23, 2
