§ 146 — Damaging warning signs; penalty

Section 146. Any person who unlawfully removes, throws down, injures or defaces any such sign shall be punished by a fine of not more than ten dollars, to the use of the county, city or town placing and maintaining the sign, or of the commonwealth, if the sign is placed and maintained by the department of highways.
