§ 132 — Safety switches

Section 132. Every switch laid in a railroad track used by passenger or mixed trains shall be a safety switch of a type approved in writing by the department. For each switch laid in violation of this section, the railroad corporation shall forfeit two hundred dollars, and the further sum of five dollars for each day such switch is maintained.
