§ 131 — Licenses to carry firearms; conditions and restrictions

[ Text of section effective until October 2, 2024. For text effective October 2, 2024, see below.]Section 131. The issuance and possession of a license to carry firearms shall be subject to the following conditions and restrictions:

(a)A license shall entitle a holder thereof of a license to purchase, rent, lease, borrow, possess and carry:
(i)firearms, including large capacity firearms, and feeding devices and ammunition therefor, for all lawful purposes; and (ii) rifles and shotguns, including large capacity weapons, and feeding devices and ammunition therefor, for all lawful purposes.
(b)The colonel of state police may, after an investigation, grant a license to a club or facility with an on-site shooting range or gallery, which club is incorporated under the laws of the commonwealt
