Section 240. The board shall make such rules as they deem proper for the performance of their duties and governing the qualifications of applicants for examination. The board shall examine each person who applies for a license as a journeyperson sheet metal worker or a master sheet metal worker, as to his practical knowledge of sheet metal work. The board shall hold frequent examinations in the greater Boston area, and at such other convenient locations as it deems necessary. The board shall make every effort to accommodate veterans, including the crediting of relevant military experience and the waiver of other requirements for individuals who demonstrate competence in the field of sheet metal work. The board shall promulgate regulations to determine the allowable education and work hour
