Text

No donation inter vivos made by a person to his or her spouse of a previous marriage which was made during the existence of such marriage shall be subject to reduction under the provisions of Civil Code Articles 1502 through 1518, nor shall the property transferred by such donation be fictitiously added to the aggregate of all property belonging to the donor in calculating the mass of the donor's succession under the provisions of Civil Code Article 1505 or in calculating the legitimate portion under Civil Code Article 1234. NOTE: Acts 1995, No. 402, §2 provides that the provisions of the Act apply to all donations inter vivos made on or after Jan. 1, 1996.
