The said district court shall thereupon enter a judgment in the premises and may direct that such trusts or devises or conditional bequests or donations shall be administered or expended in such a manner or manners as will most effectively accomplish, as nearly as practicable under existing conditions, the general purpose of such trust, devise, conditional bequest or donation, without regard to and free from any specific restriction, limitation or direction contained therein; provided, however, that in the absence of a clearly expressed intention to the contrary no such trust, devise, conditional bequest or donation inter vivos for charitable, educational or eleemosynary purposes shall be invalid because the specific method provided by the testator or donor for the accomplishment of the ge
