When a safety deposit box is leased from any bank under the name of a person or persons with the right of access being given to said person or persons and to an agent or agents or deputy or deputies appointed by said person or persons, notwithstanding the death of any of the agents or deputies, the bank may permit the person or persons under whose name the safety deposit box is leased or any surviving agents or deputies to have free access thereto including the right to remove the contents thereof. In such case, the entry of any such person or persons into the safety deposit box shall constitute a full release and discharge of the bank, savings bank, or trust company permitting the entry as to any heir, legatee, creditor, or other person having rights or claims to funds or property of the
