A.

(1)A Louisiana corporation or limited liability company that is licensed under another law of this state or under any law of the United States may apply for and be issued a license under this Chapter unless the transaction of business by the corporation or company as a licensee under another law of this state or a law of the United States violates this Chapter or is contrary to the purposes of this Chapter.
(2)A Louisiana corporation or Louisiana limited liability company that is licensed under this Chapter may apply for and be issued a license under another law of this state or of another state or a law of the United States unless the transaction of business by that corporation or company as a licensee under another law of this state or another state or a law of the United States woul
