§2188. Regulations
A. The department is hereby authorized and empowered to adopt such
rules and regulations as are necessary to carry out the provisions of this
Chapter except that licensing standards and regulations as developed by the
department for board and care homes and nursing homes shall also be applied
to the facilities and homes governed by this Chapter.
B. Nothing herein shall be construed to apply to health care facilities,
or distinct parts thereof, which are licensed by the Louisiana Department of
Health as and operate as nursing homes; provided, however, any nursing home
or other health care facility which converts, in part or in full, to a continuing
care facility, as defined herein, shall comply with the provisions of this
Chapter.
