A.Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, a tax assessor and members of his immediate family as defined in R.S. 42:1102 may own property within the parish or district in the jurisdiction of the assessor. If a tax assessor or a member of his immediate family owns property within his jurisdiction, such assessor shall assess the property in accordance with all applicable provisions of law. For the purposes of this Section, "own" shall include a direct ownership, or ownership in part or through any legal entity. The tax assessor shall submit all such assessments to the Louisiana Tax Commission within thirty calendar days after the filing of the assessor's assessment roll with the Louisiana Tax Commission and the commission shall review those assessments for compliance with all applicab
