§1906.2. Interdepartmental cooperation The Department of Public Safety and Corrections, Department of Children and Family Services, Louisiana Department of Health, Department of Education, and the Juvenile and Family Court Judges Association shall consult and cooperate to develop a plan for treatment and a continuum of care for children alleged to be or adjudicated delinquent or in need of care or supervision. The purposes of such consultation shall include the goal of early intervention by the components of the juvenile justice system to assist children in receiving proper treatment so that they will be less likely to re-enter the system.
