A. The office of children and family services, Department of Children and Family Services shall issue a request for proposals to establish intergenerational child care programs designed to employ or utilize senior workers as child care personnel. In developing the requirements for the request for proposals, the office shall consider a variety of program designs and funding arrangements which shall directly involve senior workers in daycare facilities and shall include but not be limited to programs providing salary stipends, transportation, or meals. Priority shall be given to proposals submitted from those areas of the state with significant numbers of elderly and with the greatest need for child care facilities. B.
