Text

A. The commissioner of administration shall appoint a chief executive officer who shall be an unclassified employee and serve at the pleasure of the commissioner of administration and shall be subject to Senate confirmation. The chief executive officer shall be qualified in the areas of the administration of group insurance and other benefit programs and the investment of public funds. B.

(1)The chief executive officer shall exercise all functions necessary for the administration and implementation of the policies and rules of the office which relate to rulemaking, licensing, regulation, enforcement, and adjudication, including personnel management.
(2)The chief executive officer shall employ, appoint, remove, assign, and promote such personnel as are necessary for the efficient administr
