§2199.1. Adoption of rules; violations; alternate remedies A. The Louisiana Department of Health is hereby authorized to and shall adopt rules in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act to provide remedies for healthcare facilities which have violations of the licensure standards and requirements, of certification requirements, or of the Medicaid standards of participation. Such remedies shall include but are not limited to:

(1)Denial of Medicaid payment with respect to any individual admitted to or provided services by a facility.
(2)Denial of new admissions into the facility or by the provider.
(3)Removal from the freedom of choice list.
(4)The transfer of residents, clients, patients, or individuals receiving services.
(5)Suspension of license.
