§1568.1. Use of other types of contracts Subject to the limitations of R.S. 39:1611 and 1612, any type of contract, including brand name and multiple award contracts, which will promote the best interests of the state may be used, provided that the chief procurement officer must make a written determination justifying the type of contract used. An annual report on the number, type, and volume of such procurements shall be made to the commissioner or cabinet department head within ninety days after the end of the fiscal year.
