A.
(1)Each license to practice electrology in this state shall be renewed annually on or before December first of each year upon application therefor accompanied by the renewal fee prescribed in R.S. 37:3072(A) and, beginning December 31, 1999, proof that the applicant has completed at least three hours of continuing education approved by the board. The board may grant an extension of up to six months for completion of the continuing education requirements to any person who applies to the board in writing for an extension and shows good cause.
(2)In addition to the continuing education requirements of Paragraph (1) of this Subsection, license renewal for an instructor's license shall include completion of an additional two hours of continuing education approved by the board. The board may
