Any United States citizen and resident of the state of Louisiana for a period of not less than five years prior to the date of his application who is admitted to or is engaged in the study of chiropractic at a chiropractic college approved by the Louisiana Board of Chiropractic Examiners and who meets the requirements and academic standards approved by the Louisiana Board of Chiropractic Examiners for admission to a chiropractic college and who intends to practice chiropractic in the state of Louisiana shall be eligible to apply to the Louisiana Board of Chiropractic Examiners for a scholarship in accordance with the provisions of this Chapter.
