§2802. Board of chiropractic examiners A.

(1)The Louisiana Board of Chiropractic Examiners is hereby created within the Louisiana Department of Health and is subject to the provisions of R.S. 36:803. The board shall be composed of seven members who shall be appointed by the governor, subject to confirmation by the Senate. Six members shall be chiropractors licensed under the provisions of this Chapter, who have been continuously engaged in the practice of chiropractic in this state for at least five years, and one member shall be a consumer.
(2)The consumer member of the board shall be selected from the state at large and shall possess all of the following qualifications:
(a)Is a citizen of the United States and has been a resident of Louisiana for at least one year immediately prior to
