§694. Office of health, life, and annuity; functions There is hereby created an office of health, life, and annuity in the Department of Insurance. The office shall be under the direction of the deputy commissioner for health, life, and annuity. The duties and functions of the office of health, life, and annuity and the deputy commissioner for health, life, and annuity shall be development and administration of health insurance pilot programs as established by the legislature, research and development of rules and regulations to implement health insurance reform legislation, research and development of health insurance reform measures that broaden the availability of health insurance coverage in the state, liaison activities for the Department of Insurance with other state and national age
