§691.1. Office of insurance fraud There is hereby created an office of insurance fraud in the Department of Insurance under the direction of the deputy commissioner for insurance fraud. The duties and functions of the office of insurance fraud and the deputy commissioner for insurance fraud shall be the investigation of alleged administrative or civil fraudulent insurance acts, other administrative or civil violations of the insurance laws of this state, executive security, and such additional duties and functions as assigned by the commissioner of insurance.
