A.

(1)Each office within the Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, except the office of management and finance, shall be under the immediate supervision and direction of an assistant secretary. The assistant secretary of each office, except the office of the state library shall be appointed by the lieutenant governor with the consent of the Senate and shall serve at the pleasure of the lieutenant governor. Each assistant secretary shall be paid a salary which shall be fixed by the lieutenant governor, which salary shall not exceed the amount approved for such position by the legislature while in session.
(2)The state librarian shall serve as the assistant secretary for the office of the state library and the director of the Louisiana State Museum shall serve as the assistant secr
