§7551. Environmental protection districts; creation; domicile; Jefferson Parish Upon the approval of the majority of the qualified electors of the parish of Jefferson voting in an election called for such purpose, the governing authority of such parish is authorized and empowered to form and create an environmental protection district or districts within the parish with such name or names as the governing authority may designate. The district may include parts of incorporated municipalities, provided that before any incorporated municipality may be included within the territory of the district, the governing authority shall first concur by resolution to be included in the district.
